30XX, a new action platformer roguelike from Batterystaple Games, has arrived on Steam Early Access.

Batterystaple returns to Steam Early Access following the success of 20XX, which sold more than 200,000 copies and was named one of Valve’s Top Early Access Graduates of 2017.

30XX launches with a range of game modes, including the roguelike Arcade Mode and permadeath-free Mega Mode. Players can tackle these stages solo or in co-op locally or online. The game also includes Maker Mode, a stage editor that gives players access to the same tools used to develop the game.

The early access version launches with six stages and two playable characters with distinct play styles. Inspired by the classic Mega Man X series, 30XX features high speed combat and precision platforming, as well as hi-bit pixel art from Glauber Kotaki and a chiptune soundtrack by Brandon Ellis.

30XX is immediately available for purchase on Steam for $19.99/£15.49, with a 10% launch discount until 24 February.
