El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron is set to release worldwide on Steam in mid-April 2021. Developed by Crim and headed by Sawaki Takeyasu (Devil May Cry, Steel Battalion, Okami and more), the action-RPG was critically acclaimed but under-played when it released in 2011 on consoles.
The game combines a number of genres with a rich and detailed storyline and an anime aesthetic that changes dramatically as the player progresses. Inspired by the Book of Enoch, the story follows a scribe seeking to prevent a great flood from destroying mankind. He’s helped by Lucifel, a guardian angel, and four Archangels: Michael, Gabriel, Raphael and Uriel.
El Shaddai will launch on Steam in April, 2021. The game is immediately available on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, if you can’t wait.
