Pre-order Information

Pre-orders are now available for a new figure in MegaHouse’s Naruto Gals figure series. This time it’s Tsunade from Naruto Shippuden, wearing a sultry purple swimsuit. This swimsuit has previously been seen as DLC in various entries in the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm series.

Tsunade is 1/8 scale and roughly 20cm tall. She’s scheduled to release in March, 2019 at a  ¥9,800 RRP (tax excluded).

As a limited and exclusive figure, you can order Tsunade from the following stores:

If you’re looking for a more Western friendly option, Tsunade is also available to order exclusively from AmiAmi.

My Impressions

I’m not usually the sort to throw around terms like “thicc”, but it’s pretty much the best way to describe Tsunade here. This woman has curves for days, and I’d be lying if I said I didn’t find that appealing.

As with most MegaHouse figures, the quality looks somewhere in the middle of the road. The official photos show a few small things that I take issue with, but as Tsunade has a mid-range price, I can’t really be too hard on the figure. MegaHouse’s work is quite consistent, from my experience.

I’ve seen some disappointment regarding the fan-servicey nature of the figure, but it’s pretty much par for the course. I’m not sure what people really expected from a swimsuit figure – much less a MegaHouse swimsuit figure.

The biggest problem I have with Tsunade (and you might be tired of me saying this) is that she’s releasing in the first half of 2019. The first half of 2019 is pretty well stacked with great figures, and I’ve got several pre-orders lined up already.

Overall though, I quite like Tsunade. I don’t think she’s a must-have or anything, but if I had spare cash and fancied treating myself, this might be a figure that I’d consider buying. If you’re really into Tsunade and you’re looking for something new, I’d say this one might just be up your alley.
