Pre-order Information
Pre-orders are now open for a new figure manufactured by Rocket Boy and distributed by Native. Based on an illustration by Momi (seen below), Nanami Aoi is a 1/6 scale figure. She stands about 29cm tall and features an alternative body so that you can choose to display her with or without her silver swimsuit.
You can pre-order Nanami Aoi directly through Native’s online store at a ¥17,800 RRP. Pre-orders are open until December 19th at 7PM JST. You can also find her on third party sellers like Anime NPC. She’s scheduled to release in February, 2019.
My Impressions
I’m a little late to this one, but I felt it was worth pointing this one out – it’s a very attractive figure! The body sculpt is incredibly sexy, especially with the silver swimsuit biting into her volumous curves. Despite the somewhat awkward pool-ladder set up, I think it’s an impressive specimen.
That said, I do have to admit that I’m disappointed by the apparent lack of a fully clothed variant. The illustration used in the product pages shows her with her breasts covered, but the figure seems to be based on the version seen above instead. This does make her a little harder to display for more conservative buyers. I also kinda question the practicality of high heels in a pool, but it is a pretty sexy look.
Native’s work, from my recent experience, is of a very high quality. It’s also a bit on the expensive side, though I’d argue the prices are probably worth it. That said, if you really want this figure, I’d suggest pre-ordering while you can – Native’s figures are prone to explosive aftermarket prices. Personally, I’d probably pick her up, but my budget’s pretty dry thanks to a slew of other great figures coming out in early 2019. Still – she’s one to keep an eye on.
