From Phat Company comes another charming figure featuring Yumi from Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash! As you can see, she’s dressed for the beach and ready to squirt all over her enemies! Yumi is a 1/7 scale figure that stands about 25cm tall.
You can pre-order Yumi now from various retailers, including Hobby Search. She’s selling at a ¥14,800 RRP (tax excluded) and is scheduled to release in December, 2019.
My Impressions
It’s Yumi! Again! She really seems to be the favourite of the Senran Kagura girls among figure manufacturers. That suits me just fine, since she’s my favourite too, but it’d be nice to see a little more variety.
That said, Phat Company has done a really excellent job here. The prototype photos show a gorgeous body sculpt with an excellent paint job, in a dynamic and playful pose that really captures the energy of playtime at the beach. I especially like how cheerful her face is! If the final product can hold up to these photos, then this could be a winner.
The price is maybe a little steep for a swimsuit only figure, but if the quality delivers then it’s probably worth it. I’ll definitely be thinking about picking her up, as I’m still in the market for a Yumi figure for my collection and this one has really caught my eye!
