The Pokémon Company International has teamed up with The Wand Company to release the first-ever Die-Cast Poké Ball Replica Series. Fans will be able to collect premium replicas of the iconic Poké Ball, Great Ball, Ultra Ball, and Premier Ball when they launch throughout 2021.
These replica Poké Balls are equipped with touch proximity sensing technology and LEDs (powered by three AAA batteries). The Poké Ball’s button glows when it senses motion, the button is pressed or the ball is touched. You can see some of these features in action in the video below.
Each replica comes with its own presentation case, authenticated by a uniquely numbered hologram. Quite the collector’s item!
Pre-orders for the original Poké Ball are open now, priced at about $100. The Poké Ball is scheduled to release on Pokémon day – February 27, 2021. As mentioned before, other variants of the Poké Ball are set to release throughout 2021.
